Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This session will be a big demo of packet sniffing and reverse engineering applied to a real commercial software. The aim of this session is to introduce concept of security audit from an IT point of view.

The demo will allow you to understand how to start an audit for a new software, from the network point of view to the decompiled source code.

Anyone can comfortable with IP network and software/script development can follow this session. You don’t need any experience in Objective-C, you just need to be used to read code.
Wireshark and Hopper will be used on a real commercial software to demonstrate how poorly developed software can open a security breach and lead an attacker to obtain a remote shell on your system.
